The Friday Food Market up at the Market Tower has just celebrated its first birthday and locally-grown fruit & veg, cheese, specialty breads, cakes and pastries, fresh and smoked meat bought from this atmospheric place have become fixtures on Lewesians' shopping lists.
If you haven't had the opportunity to explore, today would be a good day to do so as it will combine the official OctoberFeast launch at 12 noon, plus demonstrations and nibbles from Lewes Community Chef Robin van Creveld.

Apple Pressing

Last year we pressed 515 litres of delicious, fresh juice from apples and pears that would otherwise have gone to waste in gardens in and around Lewes. This year, the Apple Press returns so that you can celebrate the quality and quantity of your localf ruit again. Bring along your washed fruit to the Press plus clean, plastic containers. We'd also value the names of your apple trees and, if you're willing to volunteer some time to help with the pressing, that would be welcome too.

Dancing In The Old
Saturday 1st October @ Harveys Yard
Harveys' annual event to usher in the new season's beer. Old is a Victorian-style dark winter brew, produced from higher proportions of crystal malt. It was Harveys' first beer to win a National Award, in 1952, and has won many other accolades since.

Harveys Harvest Thanksgiving
